Be Kind to Animals Week
May 5-11

“Be Kind to Animals Week®” (May 5-11), the oldest commemorative week in U.S. history, and the nation’s longest-running humane education campaign. Here are a few ways you can get involved and help celebrate “Be Kind to Animals Week®”:
  • Take the kindness pledge: I believe in kindness and compassion for all animals, and that all animals are entitled to humane treatment.
  • Adopt a pet from a shelter or rescue
  • Commit to kindness 365 days a year
  • Show your support on social media.  Use the hashtag #BeKindToAnimalsWeek to help tell the story of how you are enriching the lives of animals – and how they enrich yours!
  • Purchase a Be Kind to Animals Week t-shirt in Light Green or Red and wear to work on "Casual Critter Day" Friday, May 10th.
  • Businesses can download the order form here. Please call the shelter at 792-6693 when your order is ready and we will pick it up. Orders will be delivered to your business on Wednesday, May 8th.
  • Individual orders can be purchased through PayPal using the Place Order Button and PICKED UP at our Second Chance Thrift Shop after May 7th. Make sure to include your name, phone, email, shirt size(s) and color(s).
NOTE: due to ongoing supply issues, if either light green or red is unavailable, we will substitute the next closest available color
